Really, It's a Guy Movie
Saw The Break-Up last night. It was funny in spots, but infuriating mostly. Gary (Vince Vaughn, who I really like, by the way) basically embodied most every trait that men possess that I hate. It was a very exaggerated role, obviously. But it really pissed me off. What pissed me off more than his attitude was that Brooke (Jen Aniston) wanted to get back with the vulgar, bad-mannered, inconsiderate dipshit.

yes. but her character seemed smarter than that. that's why it was maddening.
There really wasn't a reason given as to why those two people were so damn happy to begin with. It was pretty hard to feel for either one of them. My opinion of the film three days later is "bleh".
agreed. At the time I thought the photo montage at the beginning was cute, but now I think it was just a quick lazy way to get us to believe that thye had a happy relationship. bleh indeed.
